So this is my attempt to update on what has happened over the last few weeks. My girl friend is home she has been home since the end of June I went down and picked her up so she has been a been taking up a lot my time I love her and I am so glad that she is home. The sad part is she goes home in about 2-3 weeks!!
My good friend Jared up and left me though he has moved to salt lake so I don’t have a close climbing partner anymore it has been really boring at the rec with out my good friend jared but he has moved on to better things and I wish him the best of luck. I have been climbing with corey a bunch, me and him climb about once a week with each other but the last few weeks it has been slow we haven’t been able to climb as much as we would like.
I am moving on with my jobs I am headed to work for my dad again he is paying me more and it will be good for me I haven’t had to truly work in a while my job at the hotel isn’t really that hard and I would like to stay more busy and be more productive! So today is my last day at the hotel I am happy and sad I have some great friends at the hotel and I am going to miss there friendship but I am moving on to new things.
Life is good for me I have had a great summer but as the summer comes to a closes I am getting ready for school and for the climbing comp season I can’t wait to see everyone at the Pocatello pump in a month. I hope that everyone is doing great and that life is treating you well. Please don’t for get about the little climbing in Idaho stop by say hell or leave a comment. Hope to see you all soon

the crazy travelers
how sad is this i haven't posted in over a month i need to get better at this, so over the last few weeks i have been climbing like crazy traveling back and forth from twin i go down about once a week and go climb with Cory it has been super fun! 2weeks ago i went down and trad climbed sweet line even thought there was bolts right next to it. the line was pure and i really wanted to trad the line so off i went i started climbing super easy then it get to this big bulg super cool part and the crux so i place a BD #2 before i started up the crux that i would say is a good 8-10 feet! i make it up the first four feet with out a problem then i decided to place another peice this being a micro cam from BD .2 small and scary to place so i am just about to pull through the crux and my hands start giving out and sliding out of the crack so i jam it back into the crack and i start sliding out so i am playing this game with my self finger jamming this slopper crack and then i look at my last piece and just hope that it will stay and off i come only putting a 5-6 foot fall in but this is on a micro cam so just a little scared no i was a lot scared but it held and it was an awesome climb! i climbed it right after i chalked the hell out of my hands and the crack. that was the first trad fall of the season and it was a great one. so i have been climbing a lot between here and there and then i had a class fall through at the REC! so i called Cory up and said hey want to drive with me to California on Friday night? he said sure then he also recalled a canyon in the middle of no where that he has wanted to climb in, so i said we could stop at it on the way home so he was super excited for this trip.
so the trip starts to twin and i go pick Cory up from twin it is about 2:15 or so and we hit the road with 11 hours ahead of us i get into drive mode and just crank out about 5.75 hours then i see this canyon and i asked him if this was the one and he said yes so i am just drilling over the lines that i can see from the road but we just keep driving and i we both looked at each other and i told him on the way back he said ok. these lines looked sick. so we make it to vegas around 9:15 or so and fill up on food and gas then we hit the road with another 3.5 hours so to shorten up this up. we make it to Alta loma and i drop cory off at his sisters and then i drive over to loma linda another 30 mins in the car and went to bed at kates home. saturday we went to church it was good he talked about how we need to be prepared for death and not scared of it. it was just a great points. then we went back to the house and changed into some hiking shoes and jeans and we went up to what is called forest falls it was really cool the water was super cold and i am so glad that i didn't have to get into it. then we went back to the house got her studying stuff went to the store bought some food then we went to a house she was watching and i made her dinner it was fun. after dinner she studied i rested/naped then we went back to her house and went to bed i left sunday morning picked up cory and headed back it was a great weekend on the way back we stopped at the canyon it was impressive much taller then it looks from the road there ended up being ancores on the top which wassn't expected so that made it nice but a 5.9 5.10 crack was super cool place ments were good rock was solid and it was a sweet line after that line and an hour and a half later we hit the road again 8 more hours from there and i got home around 1:30am it was a great trip and i am so thankful for my crazy friends that will drive with me for 26 hours so that we can go climbing and see friends and family so thanks Cory! well i am off to work enjoy everyone and Hope to see everyone soon

isn't weather great
so i just want everyone to know that the weather is crazy if you have been stuck inside you are not missing much i drove to twin on wed the worst day of the week to do some climbing in a lava tube. it is a really fun place to climb but the holds are really sharp! the drive down wasn't bad just windy not to wet, so we meet cory at the flying jay right off the freeway it started to rain but this didn't bother me because this cave is so over hung it doesn't matter really what it is doing out side you should stay dry. so we drive out there it it just keeps getting worse rain turns to snow and it is super windy! so we park the car and almost run out to the cave get in the cave and climb for a little bit it was good a little cold for my liking but we climbed anyways! so it finally gets Dark and we can't see anymore it the cave so we start to head out and what do we find we find about 1" to 2" of snow on the ground. come on it is april it shouldn't be snowing so we get in the car and start to head back and it was white out conditions it sucked by the time we made it to twin it was back to a rain but the weather was super weird. so i really wrote this blog to just take some time out of work i have a long day ahead of me and it is going to be a slow one! but i do get to go get on a plane later today i am flying down to california to see Kate so i am super excited for that but i have to wait until tonight i don't leave until 7:00 but that is ok!
well life is good here i am just hanging inthere i am still climbing and traveling alot and i work as well but i prefre climbing of course hope all of you are doing well stay out of trouble and hope to see everyone soon. have a terriffic day and climb hard

wow a whole month
holy cow it has been a month since i have posted how sad!a lothas happened over the last few weeks we had comps to climb and set at, we have had good weather, so i have been climbing as much as possible! i have been attempting this climb that is only a 13a but for some reason it wont let me finish it i just come flying off at the top which might i say sucks, i hate it when you are 4 feet from the end and you can't hang on it makes you feel week but it is such a great route and that is why i keep going back to it! we had spring break 2 weeks ago and my Kate came home for the week so i was able to hang out with her for a week which was really nice. she is such a great person and i am so happy that i know her. i took her caving and she was awesome she said she would never do it again but she hung in there and made it all the way through! so thanks Kate for being adventurous! this last weekend i went to the city of rocks and did some fun lines found this 12c/d that is super cool has a roof in it, can't wait to do that one again. it was so much balance and so technical i really liked it.
this month is just full of climbing and travel! this next week i am heading to Moscow for a big comp and it should be super fun and then we are hopefully stopping in Riggins to do some bouldering. then the next weekend i am flying down to California to go see Kate and go to the beach and it should be super fun also, the last week in April i might be going to SLC to go see some friends so that should be a blast as well!
i hope everyone is doing well and i hope that we all have a trip together soon. because i miss the wonderful people of eastern Idaho and we should all go climbing or camping or better yet both well i need to get back to work hope to hear from you all soon

A great life
So over the past two weeks I have had a great life! Last week was thanks giving a lot of people got to go eat great food with family me I got to sit in a car for 13 hours I headed for Denver on thanksgiving day it kinda sucked that I didn't get to hang out with any of my family but climbing is what I enjoy so much and it was a one time opportunity so I took it. Cory king, my dad and I went it was a great time to hang with all of them. While in Denver I got to go to one of the best gyms ever the Spot it was so cool pictures can't give it what it deserves. I also got to go to "rockn and jamn 1 and 2" they are gyms that I recommend the comp was at rockn and jamn 1 I went and played at rockend and jamn 2 on Saturday after the comp. It was a 45 deg. Angle or steeper for about 40-55 feet it was so pumpy it was great. I did ok at the comp I placed 7th it was really good to put all my climbing skills to work. I was hoping for 5th or better but it didn't happen and I had a great time and that is all that matters. I hope to go back and climb at these gyms again maybe we could all go in one one car and spilit the gas it would be a lot of fun!
after NACC (North American Continental Championship) was over I told my parents that I would cut my hair and look for a job so one Tuesday I cut my hair it is now way short and some people like it I am not a big fan I liked my longer hair but cutting my hair payed off I went job searching on Thursday planning on not finding anything and just wasting some time. When I first met time he was working at the front desk of a hotel and I thought to my self that would be fun so that is what I have been looking for watching the newspaper and looking in windows well on Thursday I went to holiday inn express and they highered me on the spot so I am now working at the holiday inn express off of the eagle exit I started the next day (Friday) I have worked two days Friday and Saturday I really like it for only being there for twodays it has been a lot of fun and I hope that it stays that way back and legs hurt a lot from standing for 7 to 8 hours strait bit it really is a lot of fun the people you get to meet and customer service that I will learn will be great to have.
I am way excited for the comp this weekend and I hope a lot of people are coming it should be a lot of fun Marcus set some cool stuff for us all and I will see you all on Saturday!

slot canyon's

so i am told that i need to post. the only problem is i don't have much to post about i just got back from a training session in the twin area, to help me get ready for NACC this weekend which i am way excited for and yet i am so scared at the same time i am climbing with some of the best in all of north america which is kinda cool. so i head to denver on thrusday me and my dad and cory are going! it kinda sucks that we are leaving on thanksgiving but it is how it works so we deal. i also just got pictures from some slot canyons that me and a guy did acouple of weeks ago they weren't very slot ish but it was fun to go on a day hike i can't wait to go and finish one of them but here are the pictures that we got. hope you enjoy! i will have a big post next week i hope you all have a great thanksgiving! and i hope you are all planning on coming to cruxmas with jared and i on december 9th.

city and castle
so my life has been so crazy! over the past two weeks! and yet i have been able to climb at the city of rocks, castle rock, the nampa rec. center, and the front in SLC. i have been able to hang out with alot of my friends. i am very happy that i have so many friends.
so i headed down to the city of rocks on the 19th jared and i stayed in twin with his mom. we got up on friday and had breakfest with an old friend of tolmans it was really fun to hang with her and watch tolman and her catch up on life. she has a beautiful baby girl and she is really sweet. after spending 3 hours at I HOP we headed to the city to meet up with marcus! we found him sleeping in the back of his car at bath rock. so we woke him up and we went and looked for some cool bouldering. after looking at a few rocks we found what we were looking for. so we went and got the pads and started climbing in the bitter cold! we did the first boulder for about an hour or so. then we moved to the next one which was super hard and way cool! we found a roof boulder problem at the city, so next time some one tells you that the city is all slab tell them they are wrong and go bouldering. i was the only person to climb it! GO ME! it had a really really hard top out! i can't wait to go and try it again and try the other problems that we found! after this problem we were pretty shot, we were really tired so we went and just hung out in bell, while we waited for the girls and hoped that the snow would stop falling! after we got tried of hanging in bell and thought that the girls should be almost there we started walking down the road expecting to find them. little did we know that they got lost and drove all the way to utah. so after walking about 1.5 miles we decided to walk back. once we were back marcus and i set up camp and went to bed. the girls showed up later that night. i slept until morning! we climbed at the city on staurday and had a great time the group we showed around showed up around 1 ish and we just climbed in the city the rest of saturday. after the sun went down we headed to camp and talked with everyone and went to bed. on sunday we headed to castle rock did a fun multi pitch to show our newby climbers what big wall was about even though we only went up 200 feet. after we got off that climb i went and found marcus and the ladies and did this cool climb that marcus new about. great climb! on our way back to find the rec. group me and marcus saw this really cool looking boulder me and him went and looked and we did a cool line once we were on top we looked over one of the edges and found a really really hard line me and marcus were never able to climb it we think it goes about V11 or so but who really knows the line just to the right of it goes about V 6/7 and it was really good. marcus and i worked the V11 for about 1.5 hours then we started the hike out thanks to that V11 marcus and my hands were raw and we didn't climb any more that day. we headed out for the cars and drove home! this trip was one of the best trips to the city that i have ever had i hope that i get to go with everyone again once weather gets better thanks for coming everyone!

city trip

so i head for the city of rocks tonight! so i am way excited to get there, and start climbing i love the city there is nothing like it in the world and i am happy that it is only 3 hours form my house which makes it really nice when we need some where to travel.
the pictrue to your right is of castle rock! i did a sweet treverse and then climbed a 5.10 a/b i think the funny part was we thought it was bolted and when i got there it was a trad i only had 4 cams on me and two sets of nuts for only doing trad a couple of times i was a little scared. but it went well and it is one of my favoirte climbs at castle and i hope to go back and climb it again! with more cams! if you have never been to castle get your butt in gear and head out there it was a beatiful climbing area and if you like the city you will love castle! the best part about castle is you have to walk in so when you are climbing you don't hear cars drive by and it makes climbing much more enjoy able i hope to see some of you there this weekend if not me and jared should be coming through the area on november the 3rd we are going to a comp in bozmen MT. hope some of you can go with us!

i am not strong enough
so i thought i was strong enough and i thought i wouldn't get one of these but i love my freinds to much and i really want to stay intouch and see what they are up to, and let them see what i am up to. so i gave in and made a blog we will see if it works out? well this last week has been kinda exciting, my best friend from utah come home for the weekend! sarah just showed up at my house it was way exciting so i have been haning out with here over the weekend. also i went hiking on saturday we hiked about 6 miles in wildcat canyon it was really ugly and was really rocky so we got to do some sweet scrambling. it was alot of fun and i can't wait to do it when there is water in the canyon this summer! we also did jump creek we hiked about 6 miles in this one to we didn't get to the end because it was getting dark and we had to do a 30' down climb and we didn't want to do it in the dark we went about 2/3rds the way up it. it was really really pretty and i can't wait to finish it soon. there was tons of posin ivy so during the summer it would be really hard to climb. it wasn't to bad yesturday because it was mostly dead! thank goodness. the other exciting part of this week is we got a new baby! first of all if you didn't know my house does foster care so we get kids often. we have a 14 month yr. old and she has a little brother named larry we got him on thursday night he was 2 days old at the time is really cute and i love having a little kid that just loves to hold onto you and sleep so i have also been watching him alot of the weekend because i like him and i like holding kids that don't cry! nothing else really happend to exciting but i will try to keep you posted now!
